Woods and Woods Injury Lawyers recognizes the importance of contributing to our community in our personal as well as our professional lives. Throughout the year, our lawyers and many of the firm's staff members take active roles in organizing activities to support local charitable organizations and community groups.
Woods and Woods is a strong supporter of youth athletic programs. Some of the teams that the law firm has sponsored include: Lady Blitz Soccer, North Evansville Youth Soccer Club, and the Motopark Soccer Club.
Woods and Woods is actively involved in Scouting. To raise funds to support Scouting initiatives, the firm participates in Evansville's West Side Nut Club Fall Festival. Held annually the first full week in October, the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival is the second-largest street festival in the country.

Fantasy of Lights in Garvin Park
For the sixth year, Woods and Woods participated in the Fantasy of Lights in Garvin Park by sponsoring the Elf on a Horse light display. The event, which ran from Nov. 24 to Jan. 1, raised $141,470 for the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville.

C.J.’s Bus: A Safe Haven for Children in Disaster
During July we collected donations for C.J.'s Bus, a rapid-response, self-contained mobile recreation unit that is deployed to disaster sites nationwide to keep children distracted and entertained in a safe group environment in the immediate aftermath phase of natural or manmade disasters.
Easter Seals of Southwestern Indiana
For years we've been donating to the Easter Seals of Southwestern Indiana and its annual Ritzy?s Fantasy of Lights event. Donations help the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center provide therapy and assistance to 5,000 individuals from 30 area counties, regardless of their ability to pay.
2011 YMCA Partner with Youth Campaign
We are proud sponsors of the 2011 YMCA Partner with Youth Campaign, which helps allow the YMCA serve more than 14,000 boys and girls across the tri-state area by providing programs that focus on caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith.
Holly's House
We collected much-needed items for Holly's House, which is a child and adult advocacy center for victims of intimate crimes in Evansville that provides support, promotes justice, and prevents violence.
American Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana
We donated paper towels, scrub brushes, brooms, spray bottles, and other cleaning products to the local chapter of the American Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana to help those affected by the recent flooding in the tri-state area.
EVSC Clothing Bank Donation
During April we collected 20 bags of clothing and personal hygiene items for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation Clothing Bank. The bank provides clothing, shoes, coats and hygiene products to children in need. Thanks to everyone who participated. Safe Night Cab Ride, St. Patrick’s Day 2011
For the past three years, Woods and Woods has offered the citizens of Evansville free cab rides home on St. Patrick’s Day. This year, the firm partnered with Unity Taxi to do its part to help keep the streets of Evansville safe. Click here for more details.
Safe Night Cab Ride, New Year’s Eve 2010
Entering its 13th year of service, Woods and Woods again hosted the Safe Night Cab Ride Program. The program provided free cab rides home to adults who had been drinking or did not feel that they had a safe way home on New Year’s Eve. Click here for more details.
Safe Night Cab Ride, St. Patrick's Day 2010
Woods and Woods hosted its Safe Night Cab Ride program on St. Patrick's Day and covered the cab fares for adults who had too much to drink or needed a safe way home. The program ran from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. and was provided to patrons of Ri Ra Irish Pub. Click here for more details.

WABX Ride for the Heroes
On Sunday, May 18, several members of Woods and Woods took part in Ride for the Heroes to support the local Indiana Army National Guard, Unit 163. All proceeds from this motorcycle ride benefited the families of the troops that are currently deployed.
Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library Foundation
Woods and Woods is a proud sponsor of the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library Foundation. The Foundation helps the library to continue offering special community programs, such as puppets, magicians, origami classes, Irish jigs, chats with Santa, and dozens of other free and inspiring programs for children.
15th Annual Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights
Once again, Woods and Woods Injury Lawyers sponsored the Fantasy of Lights that benefited Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville. The event raised $142,230, which will underwrite up to 4,700 sessions of physical, occupational, and speech therapy for tri-state children and adults who couldn’t otherwise afford these life-changing services.
Woods and Woods Sponsor the Evansville Roller Derby
Woods and Woods are proud sponsors of Evansville Roller Derby, the tri-state's first ever flat-track roller derby league. The derby contributes to local charities and non-profit agencies as well as volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, Easter Seals, Indiana Blood Center, and more. Safe Night Cab Ride
Every year, Woods and Woods sponsors the annual Safe Night Cab Ride program with River City Yellow Cab, which provides free transportation during New Year's Eve for people who don't have a safe way home. The firm has hosted the program for the last 10 years and given more than 1,000 safe rides home.
Southwestern Indiana Regional Council on Aging (SWIRCA)
Woods and Woods participates in the annual Beer Festival hosted by the Southwestern Indiana Regional Council on Aging (SWIRCA). All proceeds raised go to SWIRCA.
Family Day at the Park
Sponsored by radio station WEOA, the annual Family Day at the Park allows community members to come together in a fun and wholesome environment. Woods and Woods is one of the sponsors of the event each year, giving away t-shirts. Proceeds go to local organizations and churches.
Woods and Woods Helps to Preserve Downtown
Evansville-based law firm Woods and Woods relocated in November 2004 to the Vanderburgh County Jail and Sheriff's Residence, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. An exquisite example of gothic revival architecture, the structure was built in 1890 and was welcomed with much acclaim and publicity. It was the first building of its kind in Evansville—not only was it visually striking; it also served as a functional place to house accused criminals. Click here to read more.
