According to Tristate Homepage, an Evansville auto accident involved Mayor Weinzapfel when he lost control of his car Tuesday morning.

The Evansville car accident occurred early Tuesday morning when Weinzapfel slid on a patch of ice, jumped a curb, and took out a stop sign.

The mayor was not hurt as a result of the Evansville auto accident; however, he does urge drivers to be careful even if roads appear clear.

Woman involved in Evansville DUI

A woman was involved in an Evansville DUI Sunday afternoon, according to the Evansville Courier & Press.

The woman was found on Division Street and First Avenue when she was slumped over the wheel of her car; her daughter was in the back of the car at the time.

The woman, 34, faces Evansville DUI charges because she had a blood alcohol content of 0.15.

The woman was unresponsive when police found her.

Fatal Owensboro auto accident blamed on weather

January 28, 2010

An Owensboro auto accident is being blamed on the weather, according to Tristate Homepage.

The Owensboro car accident occurred Tuesday morning when a man driving on State Road 54 struck an oncoming car. The woman in the vehicle that was hit had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police say the Kentucky auto accident victim died at the hospital. The road was covered in ice and snow at the time of the crash.
