Pedestrian hit in Evansville DUI accident

The Courier Press reported that a driver who has two previous DUI convictions has been arrested for a third Evansville DUI accident.

The Evansville DUI accident occurred Saturday around 6 p.m. in the Southeast Side Dollar General Store parking lot.

A pedestrian was injured in the Indiana DUI accident when the 51-year-old driver hit a 65-year-old pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with neck, back, and leg pain.

The Evansville DUI victim was about to cross the parking lot when the driver struck her with his vehicle, throwing the 65-year-old woman almost 6 feet.
