The Herald Bulletin reported that a 20-year sentence was upheld in the case of a woman who killed a former American Legion post commander and seriously injured in baby in an Indiana auto accident after using drugs.
The 29-year-old woman killed a man when she crashed head-on into his vehicle and her 2-month-old son was unrestrained and suffered blood on the brain in the Indiana car accident.
Blood tests showed she had five drugs in her system at the time of the Indiana auto accident, including cocaine, marijuana, amphetamines, and hydrocodone. Evidence showed she took her son to a drug dealer’s home knowing she was going to use drugs and drive afterward.
