About the Southwestern Indiana Regional Council on Aging
The Southwestern Indiana Regional Council on Aging (SWIRCA) was named an Area Agency on Aging in July 1974, to serve Gibson, Perry, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick counties. The Indiana Division of Aging designates Area Agencies as focal points responsible for coordinating a system of services for older Hoosiers in Indiana.
