Woods and Woods Awarded for Providing New Year's Eve Cab Rides

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Department gave its first Safety Leadership Award to Evansville-based Woods and Woods, honoring the law firm for its efforts to prevent drunk driving. The award was presented at a ceremony held on December 18, 2003.

Since 1998, Woods and Woods has sponsored the Safe and Sober Free Ride Home Program, which offers free cab rides home to potential drunk drivers. The Yellow Cab Co. supplies the rides, and Woods and Woods Injury Lawyers pay the bill.

“We ask all motorists to accept the responsibility of driving safe and sober this St. Patrick’s Day,” says Mike Woods, founder of Woods and Woods Injury Lawyers. “Plan ahead, if you overindulge, take advantage of our Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program. We believe that drunk driving is no accident and warn that our law firm will aggressively pursue suit against any drunk driver who harms an innocent victim this St. Patrick’s Day or any other day of the year.”
