Woods and Woods Wins Right to Occupy the Old Jail until 2067
In late December 2003, local law firm Woods and Woods submitted the winning bid to lease the Old Jail building in downtown Evansville. The nonprofit Old Courthouse Foundation owns the Old Jail but the agreement allows Woods and Woods to lease the historic property until 2067.
The law firm moved into the Old Jail late 2004. The building, located at 208 NW Fourth Street, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
