Trisha Dudlo-McCracken
Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, J.D., 2010
Mercer University, B.S. in Biology, 2007
Trisha started her undergraduate degree with every intention of going to medical school. It wasn’t until she took a law course in undergrad that she began to explore the possibility of becoming a lawyer.
“I had a really great political science professor for an international law class,” she said. “I loved it so much I just decided to give it a shot.”
Although she was initially interested in international law, a family law class in her second year at IU School of Law in Indianapolis (now IU McKinney) sent her down another path. “I immediately fell in love with it, and that’s what I did for the last 14 years.”

After law school, Trisha moved to Evansville, Indiana where she started her legal career as a litigator, focusing her practice in family law matters. Before coming to Woods & Woods, Trisha was the Evansville Office Managing Partner for an international law firm. As the Evansville managing partner, she was named one of Indianapolis Business Journal Media’s 250 Influential Leaders in 2023 and 2024.
Trisha says her favorite part about her transition to VA law is being about to work with clients again.
“I think the main reason I practiced family law for all those years was because I got to work with a client and see the quantifiable changes my representation was making to somebody that didn’t have it and needed it” she said. “In making a transition to VA law, even though it’s a different type of law, I think the overall mentality is the same. I can focus on the person who needs help.”
Trisha is also an active member of her local community and has been involved in several organizations throughout her career, including the Evansville Bar Association, Albion Fellows Bacon Center, and the Southwestern Indiana Pro Bono Protective Order Project, among others.
Trisha lives in Newburgh, Indiana with her husband and three kids.
